Metrolink and Amtrak
Metrolink is the Southern California commuter rail service. Two of the lines primarily serve Orange County: the Orange County line and the Inland Empire-Orange County line. Trains stop once per city. The average travel time between stations is about 7 minutes. Metrolink works well if you're traveling between Orange County cities or to Los Angeles or Riverside counties on weekdays.
Amtrak stops at about half of the stations. Amtrak has more weekend service than Metrolink.
